A Look Behind The Scenes

Part of how I build trust with my clients is complete transparency in how I work. See for yourself exactly what you can expect when you work with me. 

1. Initial Brief

The first step is to contact me with your inquiry. Let me know a little bit about your project and how I can help. I value my time and yours; my response time is usually a few hours during the weekday. 

If you already know you want to work with me, fill out my Copywriting Brief and send it in an email to Choose the format below that works best for you:

I'll then contact you the same day to schedule a call, where we'll fine-tune the details (and clear up anything from the Brief, if needed).

2. Define Scope

On our call, we'll make sure we're on the same page and ready to go. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions and I'll clarify details of your project. These calls typically take between 15 - 30 minutes, depending on the project.

After our call, I'll send you a clear proposal of work that defines the deliverables and scope we discussed as well as a firm price. 

This proposal will also include a timeline you can expect, as well as list any information I'll need from you in order to begin work - such as technical specifications or product images. 

3. Commence Work

Now the fun begins! Once I've received a signed proposal and any supporting information, as well as a 50% deposit, I'll begin work immediately.

While the scope cannot change at this point, you'll have 24 hours to send me any additional or updated information you'd like incorporated (have a different photo that better showcases your product? No problem).

You'll have a definite timeline of when to expect each project milestone, from a writer whose lines of communication are always open.

4. Submit for Review

Expect to see each milestone in your inbox by or before the deadline(s) set in the proposal of work.

I pride myself in exceeding expectations, and for this reason I rarely take on more than three clients at once. I do this to ensure every project receives my focus and attention - and to maintain the high standard of quality I have set for my work.

5. Revisions

It's not unusual that revisions aren't needed - but if they are, you're entitled to two rounds. I've set the timeline for these revisions to two weeks to prevent projects dragging out indefinitely.

I'll need timely feedback from you during the revision process, and you can absolutely expect the same from me.

Once the final draft is approved, I'll collect the remaining 50% payment by credit card.
